I finally got the last thing I needed in the mail last week to get my taxes done. So, I mailed everything off to my Mom for her to take to get my taxes done. This is hopefully the last year for a while that I'll use an accountant, which is why I stuck with our accountant in NC. Hopefully next year I can do my own taxes. This year I had the sale of my house, plus 2 states to do taxes for since I moved.
Just as a side note, please make sure you review your taxes after they are done. When my Mom told me how much I would be getting back, I thought the number sounded low (I use Excel to estimate my taxes). Well, I had her go over all the numbers with me on the phone and I found out he had forgotten to include the tuition that I paid for a class that I took. Once he added that in, the numbers matched mine exactly.
So, I will be getting $885 back from federal, $201 from VA, and $107 from NC. I'll stick most of it into savings and use the rest to pay down my student loan.

Congrats on getting your tax refund maximized! :)
Definitely second the notion of checking your accountant's work. Mine missed my itemized phone tax deduction last year.
